Genesys International News: Genesys International raises Rs 250 crore in equity investment

Pune: The 3D mapping content and geospatial solutions company said it received an equity investment of Rs 250 crore, led by the Malabar India fund with participation from other investors. The funds will be used to accelerate its 3D Digital Twin Content program which was launched by NITI Aayog to create new map content for India.

said: “This investment will be a key catalyst after India’s new geospatial policy has given a major boost to our capabilities.”

Genesys was the first company in India to launch the immersive street imagery content for all major Indian cities along with a vector map of all India, he said. The Genesys Constellation is now India’s largest sensor constellation capable of acquiring terrestrial, oblique and aerial imagery at high speeds and accuracy.

The company recently filed two patents for the 3D mapping environment. The company plans to strengthen its content-as-a-service platform by creating a business model that offers multi-vertical applications that meet the emerging needs of India’s digital infrastructure ecosystem. It will focus on utilities, smart cities, big tech, and the digital and e-commerce sectors.
