REITs: National fund stock bets in July show sharp decline


Domestic fund secondary market investing includes equity-linked deployment of equity funds, balanced funds, ETFs and index funds.

The gross buy-to-sell ratio for these funds also moderated to 1.1 in July from a year-on-year average of 1.2. The ratio reflects the strength of the investment. The gross purchase of local funds at Rs 80,131 crore was the lowest in fourteen months.

ET Intelligence Group: Equity investment by domestic funds fell to a nine-month low of Rs 6,920 crore in July in the secondary market, according to SEBI data. It was the first time in nine months that their net equity investment fell below Rs 18,000 crore. It averaged Rs 25,642 crore between November 2021 and June 2022.
